Game Design - Mechanic Design - AI - Behaviours - Unreal Engine

    Summary:
    A animal ecosystem simulator that implements different animal behaviours and locomotion like herbivore foraging, carnivore hunting, pack behaviour, flying birds and swimming animals.

    This was one of my university projects which I created in 2022 using blueprints in Unreal Engine.




Features:
  • Animal Locomotion - different movement for every type of animal and some animals have access to different movement states like swimming or flying.
  • AI and Player Contolable - each animal can be possessed to be played as or AI will control it performing their behaviours.
  • Behaviours - Animal behaviours relevant to each animal, carnivores will hunt when hungry, herbivores will forage when hungry. Combat behaviour which is split into fighting or fleeing.
